Location: Lantern Workshop
8:00 AM – Welcome guests to the workshop, enjoy welcome tea
8:15 AM – Whittle and cut bamboo to create the lantern frame.
8:30 AM – Assemble the bamboo frame.
8:45 AM – Attach fabric to the lantern.
9:15 AM – Tie the lantern strings for the final touch.
9:30 AM – Completion, take souvenir photos with the staff.
A fun experience – A memorable moment! We start at 8:00 AM and offer continuous tours throughout the day until 5:00 PM. Each tour lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Lantern tour is not a new experience in Hoi An! But being integrated, working with the local community of people with disabilities is a completely new experience in Hoi An.
The staff is disabled people with good labor skills, new ideas in creating the 8-sided lantern (the number 8 is the number of luck and success) still retains the cultural characteristics. Hoi An lanterns, both bring a new feature in the way of looking at lanterns of Hoi An people.
